There was a second explosion in the Pike River Mine today and it doesn't look as though it's possible for anyone to have survived. The methane levels inside were measured at 95% earlier today, which seems to indicate the men would probably have died fairly quickly. So, court. Went okay, despite the setbacks. The quick version is that both claims were dismissed, which in simple terms means we both walk away and no-one pays anybody any extra money. I was going to quickly go through the flist, which I did and that's fine, but I couldn't bring myself to comment today. Shit, I'm anxious and nervous and I didn't want to be. Was going to stay calm, but I'm afraid it's not working at all.

Met the Hubby after work today to be told that two of our baby guinea pigs did not survive the night. Unfortunately, the lid to the hutch was not weighted down with it's usual rock overnight and it must have blown opne in the wind. Apparently there were scratch marks like cat footprints on the inside of it, so we can only assume cats got them in ( Read more... )
